Legal Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Articles L. 221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code, you have fourteen (14) calendar days from the receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to provide any reason or pay any penalty.

This right applies exclusively to consumers, meaning individuals acting for purposes outside their commercial, industrial, craft, professional, or agricultural activity.

Return Conditions

To be accepted, returns must meet the following conditions:

The item must be returned in its original condition, unworn, unwashed, and undamaged.
The item must be returned in its original packaging (or equivalent packaging providing the same level of protection), with all tags attached.
The return must be shipped within fourteen (14) days of notifying us of your withdrawal.

Any item returned incomplete, damaged, or soiled may not be eligible for a full refund. A deduction may be applied if the item has been handled beyond what is necessary to assess its nature, characteristics, and proper functioning.

Items Excluded from the Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, certain items cannot be returned or refunded, including:

Items made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised;
Sealed items that cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons and that have been unsealed after delivery (including skincare, beauty, or hygiene products).

Return Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to an error on our part (wrong item, defective, or not as described).

We recommend using a tracked shipping method with proof of delivery. We cannot be held responsible for any parcel lost or damaged during return transit.

Refund

Upon receipt of the returned parcel and verification of the item's condition, we will process your refund within fourteen (14) calendar days.

The refund will be issued via the same payment method used for the original order, unless you expressly agree to a different method. In any case, no fees will be charged to you in connection with this refund.

Initial shipping costs are refunded only if the entire order is returned. In the case of a partial return, shipping costs will not be refunded.

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive a defective item or an item that does not match your order, please contact us immediately at contact@jailacote.com, including a description of the issue and photographs of the item in question.

In such cases, return shipping costs will be fully covered by us, and you will have the choice of:

An exchange for the same item, subject to availability;
A full refund of the item and original shipping costs.

You are also entitled to the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L. 217-4 and following of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code).
